Messrs. Seyi Katola and Adesegun Arowolo having satisfied the conditions laid down by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria were granted Licences to practise as Chartered Accountants on 27th January, 1994 and 28th January 1993, respectively

The firm was therefore, registered under the name of SEYI KATOLA & CO. Chartered Accountants, on 26th October 1994 and commenced business immediately.

This leads us to report and form an opinion as to whether the accounts prepared are in accordance with the Company’s accounting records, the information and explanations obtained during the audit made the financial statement to show a true and fair view of the company’s affairs including the Profit and Loss Account and Cash flow Statement and that all statutory requirements are complied with.

    Seyi Katola – FCA, FCTI, CFA Principal Partner

    Seyi Katola serves as the principal partner of the firm. He bagged a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from the Lagos State Polytechnic in 1987. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 and was later admitted to membership as an Associate and Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in 1990 and 1999 respectively. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). He is also a Certified Forensic Accountant Seyi had his professional training with the firms of Bode Ogunleye & Co, (Chartered Accountants) and Oladega Alogba & Co. (Chartered Accountants) and Managing Partner, JHI-AO&A. He had worked with the Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry as Head of Accounts Department, Financial Insurance Co. Ltd., Lagos as Accountant; General Manager Finance/Investment, Vigilant Insurance Co. Ltd; Divisional Head (Financial/Internal Control), Vigeo Group; Financial Controller, Topbrass Aviation Limited and Chief Financial Officer, Century Energy Services Limited (Century Group). Seyi is a Director at Professional Accountancy Tutor Ltd., one of the foremost professional tuition houses in the country and currently the Chairman of Bratim Training Centre; ACCA approved training institution based in Abuja. He is also a seasoned lecturer in Financial, Cost and Management Accounting and paper presenter on contemporary financial, industrial and economic matters. He was also in the past; a member of the few chosen professionals from the ICAN accredited training institutions charged with providing solutions to professional questions of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). Seyi had served as a member of both the Annual General Meeting and Publication committees of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). Seyi is a member of the Nigerian Accounting Standard Board (NASB) Committees on ‘Consolidated Financial Statements and Accounting for Investment in Subsidiaries’ and ‘Accounting for Business Combination.’

    Dr. Adewale Oyebamiji

    B. Sc.(Hons) 1st Class, M. Sc. (Distinction), FCA, FCTI, MBA, M.Sc.(Forensic Acct), Ph.D (Accounting) - Managing Partner Wale is a First Class Graduate of Accounting from the prestigious Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State. He is a Chartered Accountant (FCA), a Chartered Tax Practitioner (FCTI) and a member of Global Revenue Assurance Practitioners Association (GRAPA) with Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Finance and M. Sc. in Forensic Accounting from the Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti and Babcock University respectively. Wale holds a Ph.D in Accounting (Taxation and Fiscal Policy) from Babcock University. He has over three decades experience spanning financial control, Audit, Accounting Services, Consulting and Banking having previously worked with First Bank of Nigeria Plc. Wale oversaw Financial Control, Treasury and Investment, Strategy and Information technology at Integrated Microfinance Bank (MFB) Plc before joining SKC as the Managing Partner/CEO. Wale who co-pioneered the firm, attended an MIT Sloan Executive Education Program titled “Building, Leading, and Sustaining the Innovative Organization” at Cambridge Massachusetts, USA in July 2007. Wale is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School having attended an Executive Education Program titled “Driving Corporate Performance: Aligning Scorecards, Systems and Strategy” in July 2009.

    Imeh is a professional of over 20 years post qualification experience. He is a meticulous personality with sound academic footings. Imeh obtained his first degree (B.Sc) in Accounting from the University of Port Harcourt, River State in 1992. He is also a Chartered Tax Practitioner of over 20 years. He has several certificates from on-the-job courses he attended in his kitty. His private practice knowledge was deepened when he joined Gabe Fasoto & Co, an audit and consultancy firm outfit shortly after his youth service as a Consultant. He garnered a wide knowledge of consulting in Gabe Fasoto & Co and Seyi Katola & Co before joining Metro Lion Nigeria Limited in 2001 and later Special Olympics Nigeria between 2005 -2013 as Finance Coordinator. He later returned to Seyi Katola & Co (Chartered Accountants) in 2013 and has worked and manned various directorates of the Firm. These included Tax Consulting, Audit Management and Training. Before return, Imeh has participated in various Forensic engagements for the Lagos State government and the Federal Inland Revenue Service and our client on the recovery of Excess Bank charges.

    Jerry is a Chartered Accountant, Executive Consultant and Research Scholar. Jerry holds Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting, Master of Science in Corporate Finance and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the prestigious Babcock University. He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Fellow of Association of Forensic Accounting Researchers (AFAR) and a member of the International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics (ISBIS) He started his career briefly in Lead way Assurance Company Limited before his research and teaching appointment in Babcock University in 2011, where he taught Principles of Auditing, Principles of Accounting, Principles of Finance, Accounting theory, Management Accounting, Managerial Finance, Auditing and assurance and also supervised undergraduates and postgraduate students. He has served as the faculty adviser to ENACTUS-Nigeria Babcock University chapter (https://enactus.org/country/nigeria/) where He led, mentored and supervised the innovation and invention of projects that meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). He is a founding member of ALIVE-Nigeria, an NGO challenging young people to be exceptional and extraordinary.     Professor Ishola Rufus Akintoye, a Professor of Accounting and Finance is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and The Chartered Institute of Taxation, a Life member of Nigeria Economic Society and Fellow of Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered). He holds an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy, a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, a Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Finance, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Financial Management. He is an Alumni of University of Ibadan, Nigeria, University of Sunderland, UK, University of Calabar, Nigeria, Delta State University, Nigeria and The Polytechnic, Ibadan. Professor Akintoye is a Financial Consultant to the World Bank, a part of the team that worked on the Medium Term Expenditure framework (MTEF) currently being used for the budgetary processes by States and the Federal Government of Nigeria. He was in the World Bank Team of Chris Rowe, a Director of ICL International, UK involved in developing the MTEF Model for Lagos State. He also handled the Lagos State Financial Accountability Assessment (SFAA) on behalf of the World Bank. He is also a Financial Consultant to Phillips Consulting, West-Africa and SGI Consulting handling ADB Rural Water Project in many States in Nigeria. He is currently a Financial Consultant to Partnership for Child Development (PCD) of Imperial College, London and recently developed a Costing and Budgeting templates for the School Feeding Programme in Osun State, Nigeria on behalf of the PCD. He is the Coordinator of Osun State School Feeding Programme Document. In addition, he was up to May, 2013 the Coordinator/Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Education, Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria,West Africa. He has been an associate Lecturer at the Department of Economics, University of Ibadan since 2000, an External Examiner to Department of Management & Accounting, Obafemi Awolowo University (Formerly University of Ife), Department of Accounting, Bowen University, Babcock University, Crescent University and Benson Idahosa University. He was appointed External Examiner to University of Cape Coast Business School, Ghana in December, 2012, still serving to date. He has been an examiner to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria since 1989, a Chief Examiner in Taxation with the Chartered Institute of Bankers, One time Chief Examiner and Chairman of Examinations Committee of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, became Group Leader/Supervisor in Cost and Management Accounting and Chief Examiner to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in Multi- Disciplinary Case Study and Strategic Financial Management (SFM). He has to date examined six (16) MPhil/PhD and eighteen (18) MSc Students who have graduated with MSc/MPhil/Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Accounting and Finance. He is on the Accreditation team of National Universities Commission (NUC) in Nigeria and a Lead Accreditor to ICAN. He was the Pioneer Editor to “Osun Journal of Management & Social Sciences”, a current Reviewer to ICAN Journal of Accountancy and Finance, PhD Proposals and Commissioned Research works for Sponsorship. His area of interest is Accounting, Finance/Financial Management, Financial Economics, and StrategicManagement. Professor Akintoye is married with children.

He is a thoughtful, meticulous and business oriented personality with sound academic base. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc) in Accounting , Master of Science Degree (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting from the prestigious Babcock University, Ilesha, Ogun State. He is also a Certified E-Business Professional. He started his career as an Accounts Assistant with Wesley University and latter served as Accountant at Elyon College and Leadership Academy, Abeokuta before joining Babcock University as a Lecturer. While a student in the university, he held several leadership positions which he has deployed in the execution of the assignments he had taken up. In addition, he has attended several trainings on-the-job. He comes into practice with sound and deepened financial and leadership skills. Since his joining, he has successfully led high level financial and forensic audit teams.
